K-9 Rescue:
K-9 Rescue is an all volunteer, nonprofit rescue and placement organization. We rescue adoptable
dogs & cats from animal control facilities around the Twin Cities. Without our help and your
help, these pets would be euthanized at these facilities, or in some cases, used for research
purposes. (One of
my dogs,
Kirby,
was adopted from K-9 Rescue!!!)

Last Hope is a non-profit, no kill, foster based animal rescue program which helps animals in

Midwest Avian Adoption &
Rescue Services Inc: Based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul (Twin
Cities) area of Minnesota, Midwest Avian Adoption & Rescue Services
(MAARS) was founded in July 1999 to provide much-needed services for
captive parrots and other birds in the Midwest in cooperation with
other organizations around the USA and world.
Minnesota Companion Bird Association: The Minnesota Companion
Bird Association is a bird club based in the Minneapolis/St. Paul
area, providing a social, informational, and commercial network for
over 300 parrot (and other pet bird) owners, aviculturists, business
owners, avian veterinarians, and ornithologists throughout the Twin
Cities, Minnesota, and the Midwest.

Breeders Association: In late 1970, a group of concerned
Minnesota Purebred dog owners joined forces to begin laying the groundwork for an organization
dedicated to fostering the advancement of and the adherence to high ethical standards among the
breeders of purebred dogs, developing a good communication network between breeders and the
buying public, initiating and supporting the enactment of legislation for the protection of
dogs, their breeders and their owners, ensuring the humane treatment and care of all dogs,
providing an alternative to purchasing dogs from puppy mills or pet shops by offering referrals
to MPDBA members, & selling a puppy or an adult with a written sales contract which includes a
health guarantee for designated period.

Second Chance Animal
Rescue: Second Chance Animal Rescue is a nonprofit,
all-volunteer 501(c)(3) organization that incorporated in 1994. They are dedicated to rescuing,
caring for and placing homeless dogs and cats. They also educate the public on respect for all
animal life, including the importance of spaying and neutering in order to reduce the number of
healthy animals euthanized.
